Hunter + Boo is an award winning modern, ethical baby and children’s wear label that doesn’t compromise on style or personality. Made with the softest 100% organic cotton and eco dyes, each Hunter + Boo garment celebrates the joy of childhood, bridging the gap between a traditional “green” aesthetic and modern, cool designs. The bold, unique signature prints are combined with simple and stylish garment shapes, making for a light, fun and easy to wear collection. Growing up, Beth and Sarah always dreamed of working together but families and careers beckoned them in different directions. While Sarah focused her talents on London’s fast-moving fashion world, developing her passion for beautiful products as a Buyer, Beth’s path led her to Singapore, at the heart of corporate Asia. Beth’s step in to motherhood was a personal trigger to shop more mindfully, however as she researched the clothing industry, she was shocked to discover that fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world. At the same time, Sarah began to explore developments in the fashion industry that make a more positive impact on the lives of its workers and their environment. Drawing on this insight and hands-on experience, the sisters launched the Hunter+Boo label in October 2017, bridging the gap between a traditional “green” aesthetic and modern, cool design.

How We’re Sustainable

At Hunter+Boo we are committed to making shopping ethically as easy and clear as possible for our customers. Our clothing is produced in a small factory in beautiful Sri Lanka which employs men and women who work in a safe, respectful environment and who are paid a proper wage for everything they do. Our factory is accredited with GARMENTS WITHOUT GUILT (GWG). GWG is the Sri Lankan best-practice standard, whose objective is to have a sustainable clothing industry that contributes to the economic development of the country while improving the quality of life of those employed in the industry. Our factory exceeds the requirements of the GWG accreditation by providing additional benefits to the workforce to ensure the standard of living for employees is in-line with company values. We partake in regular independent, accredited audits of our manufacturers. We use 100% GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD (GOTS) certified organic cotton in our clothing range. This cotton is sustainably farmed and ethically milled in India and Egypt, and woven in Sri Lanka. GOTS defines globally recognised requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecology and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing. We use CONFIDENCE IN TEXTILES – OEKO TEX 100 certified eco-dyes which are recognised as eco-friendly, meaning they are safe for use on babies’ sensitive skin and low impact on the environment. We strive only to use recycled and / or recyclable packaging for our products. We are continually learning and improving how to become a better sustainable and ethical business.
